What do you know about the Great White With a Yellow Dot? You are probably thinking what is the Great White with a Yellow Dot! Well lets steep into! the Great White with Yellow Dot is Chamomile! Yes the Chamomile flower has white petals with a yellow center which gives the tea its color!
Chamomile is also known as Asteraceae/Compositae family and represented by two common varieties viz. German Chamomile (Chamomilla recutita) and Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile).
Dried flowers of chamomile contain many terpenoids and flavonoids contributing to their medicinal properties. I know I know you like what Terpenoids and flavonoids let me explain Flavonoids are phenolic compounds found in most plant foods and in particularly high concentrations in tea. Terpenoids play important roles in the formation of tea aroma quality due to their pleasant scents and low odor thresholds.
